no staples poems

This first image is showing my work as you would first see it, the front cover and the edge of the first poem, I decided to be very bold with my colour selections as I felt the poems were striking enough to hold there own against the bold backgrounds. The name of my collection is 'the route to serenity' this theme continues through the poems and then onto the back cover where we see a blue sky and one word 'serenity'.
This is an example of one of my poems, i made sure to keep the original backgrounds the words came with as this gives the work a hand made look, the background it designed to draw your eye and then look deeper into the poem itself.

Each poem comes with an image to strike the theme of the poem, this image clearly shows the dark nature of this particular piece.

From this exercise the main thing i have learned is that something doesn't have to be perfectly written to look impressive, you can produce high quality piece of work that still have a hand made feel.

This is a scan of my original poem ideas on a page, this really demonstrates the random yet insightful feelings that these poems create as the nature of finding the snippets was a wild venture completed with imagination.
