Sketchbook

This first shot shows my sketchbook, to build this i had to learn a variety of new skills including; stitching and knot tying, The first thing i needed to do was to cut the covers and then position the holes perfectly down the side, this objective made us focus on precision as if the covers or any paper were sticking out the work would look poor, i then stitched on my signatures.

Some of my silhouettes, these were created by 'drawing with scissors' which involves getting a side on view of an object and basically cutting a filled in image of them.

This is a slightly different take on the silhouette idea, to complete this i cut the face from one of my pages and then stuck that page to the page before giving a rustic effect.

To complete this 'drawing from a window, i tried to focus on the individual segments of each window pane, enlarging each aspect to give a clever affect.

This is my drawing of a bottle, i chose to use golden syrup as it has an interesting design.
